Colorado RallyCross

Welcome to Colorado RallyCross!  What is RallyCross?  Think of it as autocross gone wild.  Instead of a paved parking lot, we race on gravel or dirt under all types of conditions—dust, more dust, mud, rain, snow, ice, wind, and even darkness.  If you’re new to RallyCross, check out our website for more information about the most exciting entry-level motorsport on the planet!  If you’re a RallyCross veteran, be sure to mark this year’s events on your calendar.  We hope to see you at the next event!

** This thread discusses the content article: HEADS UP: 2012 SCHEDULE CHANGE **

Please note the following change to the 2012 Colorado RallyCross season schedule:

  • The Test & Tune/Driver's School has been moved from Saturday, March 3 to Sunday, March 11 at CORE in Deer Trail.  Cost will be $35.  We'll have one course for testing & tuning and a separate course for the driver's school.  School participants will have an instructor assigned for morning runs and then we'll turn you loose for solo test & tune runs for the remainder of the day so you can practice, practice, practice.   Be sure to register on the website if you plan to attend the Test & Tune or Drivers' School.  Also, if you're a first-timer, don't be afraid to come out and race in Event #1 on Saturday, March 10 -- we'll provide plenty of assistance to help you complete your first event, then you can come back on Sunday to polish you skills.  Sorry, no overnight camping at CORE for the March 10-11 weekend.

RALLY TIRE NEWS: If you're looking for a set of rally tires for the upcoming season, we should have details on Yokohama rally tires (A035 and A036 series, 14" and 15"), including sizes, prices and ordering info by Februrary 17.  Check the website for updates.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have the school be Saturday and the first event Sunday?

Yes, yes it would. But in order to keep things simple, this is how it has panned out.

Plus, this way you can attend the event, realize what it is that you need to work on, and then work on it the next day!

Most importantly, what's the scoop on the tires? Will it have to be a single group buy, or can people order them throughout the year? Did prices ever come in?
