Colorado RallyCross

Welcome to Colorado RallyCross!  What is RallyCross?  Think of it as autocross gone wild.  Instead of a paved parking lot, we race on gravel or dirt under all types of conditions—dust, more dust, mud, rain, snow, ice, wind, and even darkness.  If you’re new to RallyCross, check out our website for more information about the most exciting entry-level motorsport on the planet!  If you’re a RallyCross veteran, be sure to mark this year’s events on your calendar.  We hope to see you at the next event!

** This thread discusses the content article: Holy Haenny, Batman! The Season Is More Than Half Over! **

Say it ain't so!  The 2011 Colorado RallyCross season is now past the midway point, with Event #6 in the eleven event season coming up on Saturday, July 30 at Colorado Off Road Extreme (CORE) in luxurious Deer Trail, Colorado.  The season championship points standings are heating up and every point counts, so be sure to sign up for this weekend's event.  And don't forget the two big events remaining on our schedule--the National Challenge in August at the U. S. Truck Driving School and the SCCA National Championship in October in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A few reminders to help make Event #6 run on time:
  • Be sure to pre-register using the registration link above.  The more competitors we have who pre-register, the faster we can complete the check-in process on race day.
  • Per SCCA rules, you must have a current, valid state driver's license to compete.  Expired, altered or revoked licenses are not acceptable, nor are learner's permits.
  • Arrive by 8:00 AM, complete registration, prep your car, go through tech, walk the course, and be ready for the drivers' meeting at 9:30 AM.
  • Technical inspections are intended to verify that each vehicle meets the safety requirements of the event.  Tech inspectors will not inspect a vehicle to determine if it meets the preparation requirements for a given class.  If you have a concern about whether a vehicle complies with class preparation rules, please contact an event steward.
  • Rumor has it that some Colorado R-Xers will be camping Friday night at CORE.  All campers will be required to bathe or shower prior to check-in on Saturday morning!
